  • How do I create a new frame when all frames have been deleted?

This is probably a very silly question but I've run into this situation twice and I'm not sure how to solve it:

If I delete all the frames on the timeline, how do I create a new blank frame without creating a whole new Cel?

Or should I just be careful to not ever delete all the frames?

It's not a big deal but I have a feeling the answer is right in front of me and I can't see it. Thanks in advance for any info.

I don't think it's possible to create new frame after you delete all of the frames. So yeah, keep in mind to have at least one blank keyframe or else just start a new document after you accidentally delete all frames.

I found only one way how to restore empty Cel. You can drag layer with frames from another Cel to the empty Cel.

        Thanks for confirming that!

It's not a big deal but it does seem like an oversight. The command probably should keep one empty frame available even when all frames have been selected.

Edit: Eugene, I saw your post after posting my reply. I'll give your suggestion a try when I get home. Thanks!

Dear Greenlaw, yes you can create a new frame after deleting all frames. Please double click on an empty space where the frame is supposed to go, and a dialog should pop up.

That must have been the one thing I had not tried...and it works perfectly!

Thank you very much for responding.
